We just got some insight into Gigi Hadid’s first weeks as a mom!
Two weeks after giving birth to her first child, a daughter with boyfriend Zayn Malik, the model is apparently “elated,” according to a source who spoke to E! Online. Gigi announced her new arrival on Instagram on September 23, writing, “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love. 💕”
On October 3, an insider revealed how motherhood is treating the 25-year-old supermodel. “Gigi is very tired but is already an amazing mom,” the source told E! “The first couple of weeks have been a hard transition, but she hasn’t complained and is very elated to be a mom.”
The young family is reportedly staying at the Hadid family farm in Pennsylvania, where Gigi gave birth, until further notice. “They feel peaceful staying there for now. Gigi wants the most privacy for their baby and wants to be able to raise her privately,” the source continued.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Gigi and Zayn are reportedly keeping their circle small. The model’s mother, Yolanda, lives with them and is apparently acting as “their built-in nurse.”
“They are so grateful to have her,” along with Gigi Hadid's younger supermodel sister, the source shared. “Bella [Hadid] was very emotional first seeing [the baby] and has already been having fun shopping for her and dressing her up.”
The new parents haven’t shared their daughter's name yet or released any more pictures since the announcement. However, word on the street is that the name is “unique.” (Maybe if we keep calling her Baby ZiGi, it’ll just stick?)
As the weather turns colder, we predict the newborn will make great use of her pink blanket, embroidered by “auntie” Taylor Swift. A few weeks old and she’s already got handmade T-Swift merch? Not bad for farm life.
