In one of her more relatable fashion moments, Kate Middleton wore her floral face mask for a second time during a visit to Beigel Bake Brick Lane Bakery. On September 15, the Duchess and Prince William volunteered to bake treats at the historic London shop and discuss the impact COVID-19 has had on small businesses.
Coordinating perfectly with her face mask, Middleton opted for a floral print shirtdress by Beulah London. The dress will set you back hundreds of dollars (or pounds), but you can still buy the Amaia reusable face mask for $20, below.

We’ve become accustomed to seeing celebrities in face coverings stateside, but the rules about wearing masks in public vary widely across the world. The Brits have been comparatively slow in adopting the measure, and only recently did England require people to wear face coverings in shops and markets. Luckily, Kate Middleton is leading by example, and she and her husband, Prince William, have taken to wearing face masks on summery outings—showing us that it’s a health measure we should all continue to take seriously.
Kate Middleton’s face mask in question—a ditsy cotton floral—is from the London childrenswear brand Amaia, and the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted wearing it two days in a row. She was first snapped wearing the adorable face mask while volunteering at Baby Basics’s Sheffield center on August 4 and again while meeting residents at the Shire Hall Care Home, with the Duke. Amazingly, it’s still available for preorder below.
In typical Middleton fashion, the royal styled her face mask with belted shirtdresses from some of her go-to female British designers. In the first instance, she wore a white silk midi from Suzannah and glittery Tabitha Simmons pumps, and then a baby blue floral number from Emilia Wickstead with lace-up rattan wedges. The duchess kept her jewelry minimal on both occasions, opting for a simple gold pendant and subtle hoop earrings. Even with a face mask, Middleton looked as regal as ever, and both her looks gave off perfect summery vibes.
Face masks are first and foremost worn to protect ourselves and others from contracting or passing on the virus, but there's no harm in choosing one that matches your personal style—and we all know the Duchess has a soft spot for Peter Pan collars, stripes, and dainty florals, so her ditsy-printed face mask comes as no surprise.
Kate’s face mask of choice is currently on preorder from the U.K., so if you can’t get wait to get your hands on one, we found a ton of similar, affordable options (especially on Etsy!) you can add to cart now. Honestly, you might even want to stock up on more than one of these royal-approved prints since we’re expecting Kate to keep hers on regular rotation.
