Adidas Ultraboosts are some of the most popular running shoes out there. Thanks, in part, to their versatility: The bouncy, cloud-like sole is great for running, of course, but also for walking, casual wear, and recovery. While the shoes are on the higher end of the price spectrum for Adidas (they retail around $200), there are usually some pretty great Ultraboost Black Friday sales—and this year is no exception.

If you know where to look, you can typically find a pair of Ultraboosts in the $150 range. So I took to the internet to see what I could dig up for Black Friday, and found a few iterations on sale, some of which even dipped below $100. Of note: the new Ultraboost Light (launched in February 2023) that claims to be 30 percent lighter than the original is the best overall Ultraboost deal right now, down to $86.

The magic of the Ultraboost lies in its supportive foam sole. A pioneer of the stacked cushion style proliferating the running shoe market today, the signature Ultraboost footbed and midsole are filled with Boost capsules that absorb shock and rebound off the pavement with each stride. Then, strips of Continental rubber on the outsole balance those soft landings with reliable traction and quick transitions.

As for the upper, most Ultraboost styles are made of a breathable wraparound knit for that sock-like feel, with an Adidas three-stripe lace cage overlay for stability. And an added bonus for Ultraboost fans, the knit used on the upper is made from (at least) 50 percent Parley Ocean Plastic, meaning that it uses yarn created from plastic waste found in our oceans.
