Listen, we all know that the fun of a summer night with your closest peeps (family can be peeps, too) is maximized by popping open a cold one.

But you know what’s NOT fun about beer? Downing a bottle and feeling like you ate a 5-course meal...but without the deliciousness of said meal. The beauty of low-carb beer (commonly called “light beer”) is that it contains more water. So, a) it has less alcohol b) it’s a light drink instead of a heavy glug, and c) it’ll get you turnt but not wasted.

To aid you in your quest, I break down the best low-carb beer out there in my finest, snootiest pseudo-sommelier voice. And, if you're a calorie counter (which, can we not?), each of them is under 110 calories and 7 grams of carbs.

1. Coors Light

The Colorado beer brand is definitely well-known and reliable. Coors Light is a pretty smooth lager that goes well with most snacks and should ALWAYS be chilled.

2. Miller Lite

This one’s another go-to pick that pairs well with any meal (especially fries, according to everyone). The great thing about Miller Lite is the way it reduces its calorie count without actually compromising on flavor and ingredients. It’s a tasty ones, for sure.

3. Michelob Ultra

Brewed without any artificial flavors or colors, (which I didn't realize was a thing beer companies did?) Michelob Ultra is a great, malty choice.

4. Corona Light

As far as light low-carb beers go, Corona might just be the champ. Corona Light has a distinctly fruity, citrus-y aroma, and is a perfectly refreshing accompaniment to, well, anything—but especially guac!

5. Corona Premier

Corona’s Premier may not be as well-known as Light, but its calorie and carb counts are actually lower, making this Mexican variety the smoother pick.

6. Natural Light

This Missouri lager is like the Two-Buck Chuck of beer. It’s cheap (in a good way!), refreshing, light, and has a pretty funny Twitter handle to boot.

7. Busch Light

This well-balanced lager is SUPER affordable, perfect for a game day sip sesh, and it's a Midwest favorite.

8. Michelob Ultra Pure Gold

With the lowest carb count on this list, this pale lager is another hit by Michelob. But this one is completely organic and has a crisp taste.

9. Amstel Light

This Dutch lager is refreshing and smooth, yes. But it's also slightly bitter. You'll be all like, “Yep, that’s beer.”

10. Saint Archer Gold

Behold, a craft beer, aka one created in a smaller brewery. The California lager pairs perfectly with the sun and flip flops.

11. Beck’s Premier Light

It's refreshing and smooth like the others, but it also has the lowest calorie count on this list.

12. Heineken Lager Light

Here's another classic beer brand with famously low alcohol content. The Dutch option is really where it’s at and is pretty easy to find, which is a major plus.

13. Dixie Light

Louisiana's craft beer is light, easy-drinking, and all-American. Party in the USA (and in your mouth).

14. Two Lane American Golden Lager

Here's a lager that was brewed in collaboration with Luke Bryan. Yes, the country star, American Idol judge Luke Bryan.

15. Keystone Light

This pale lager has the unique distinction of tasting both smooth and grainy at the same time (seriously). It goes down pretty easy but also leaves a tasty, um, after taste in your mouth. And that’s a feat.

16. Yuengling Light Lager

This is one of the best tasting brews on this list, with a caramel malt flavor that contrasts beer's usual bitterness. It just makes being low calorie that much sweeter!

17. Bud Light

Ending on another classic, Bud Light is an American favorite. It smells great and the subtle malty flavor is perfect for any shindig. Although, tbh, its major appeal might just be all those amazing Super Bowl commercials.
