July TV Premieres: 16 New Shows to Look Out for This Month
- Oops!Something went wrong.Please try again later.
It’s definitely too dramatic to call July a period of TV rebirth, but there is something to getting past the first round of awards mayhem. Now fully into a fresh eligibility calendar and with most of 2021 receding into the rear view, this month is a chance to start looking forward, even if there’s plenty more Emmys stuff to come along with it.
Thematically, that idea of making something new from something familiar checks out with this slate of July TV premieres. In a twist on the usual summer franchise fare, the next few weeks find networks and services testing out a few genre curveballs. There are new spins on sci-fi, autofiction, travel shows, troubled marriages, and Nathan Fielder making people question the nature of reality.

Some are possible future fan favorites. All that’s left to is to take a sample and see which ones end up in that category.
