Julianne Hough reveals dramatically shorter hairdo -- and looks gorgeous as ever

Julianne Hough is giving off major 90s vibes with the debut of a very new hairdo!

The 31-year-old actress took to Instagram on Wednesday to show off her fresh new bob, courtesy of longtime friend and celebrated celebrity hairstylist Riawna Capri. "Simple, chic, thick, blunt, classic bob—but the modern twist is in the way you style it to not be super perfect with a little flare," described Capri, who works at Nine Zero One Salon in Hollywood.

"New do...who dat?" Hough captioned the four-photo collage on her Instagram story.

In a press release, the hairstylist revealed that the sleek bob was inspired by Claire Danes in My So-Called Life and Winona Ryder in Reality Bites, with one fan describing it as having a "Drew Barrymore vibe from Wedding Singer!"

Capri, who also shared the photo to her own Instagram, revealed to Allure that the new style was quite the departure for Hough. While the actress normally opts for textured layers, her new look is now all one length.

"This haircut is 100 percent one length — no layers, no weight taken out, no secret texturizing, all to create a thick stackable weight line, which Jules has never had before," Capri told the publication. "It's crazy to think we have been creating looks together for over ten years and we can still do something completely different we've never done before."
