Though the ongoing New York City heat wave might convince you otherwise, fall is just around the corner—and Julia Fox is dressing the part.
For her latest New York Fashion Week look, the Uncut Gems star stepped out in an outfit composed of pieces from the new collaboration between Jean Paul Gaultier and London-based label Knwls.
Fox wore a semi-sheer tulle set composed of a ribbed long-sleeved turtleneck, which she wore cropped just below her bust, and a pair of matching low-rise flared leggings. The co-ord featured rusty brown stripes in Gaultier’s signature rough-edged style. Layered on top was a structured, mocha-brown leather jacket with tufts of lavender and amber tie-dyed lamb fur framing the sleeves, arm cuffs, collar, and waist. The actor finished off the bold ensemble with a caramel moon-shaped bag with crisscrossing tie details on the sides, plus white pumps.

Of her brand’s collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier, Charlotte Knowles told Dazed: “Because there is just so much history and so many amazing references... it was almost a bit overwhelming to begin with—because you’re like ‘Which thing do I go with?’ In the end, we just felt like it was important to choose references that felt like they would be quite easy to blend between the brands to give the collection an easily understandable dialogue.”
Knowles’ partner Alexandre Arsenault added, “I think we really wanted to make sure that we didn’t do one of those collabs where we just pointed at things and said ‘Let’s make it in a different fabric.’ We really wanted to understand how Jean Paul would think about things and what made his work so special, and then use that Jean Paul energy to create a world that was really right in the middle of JPG and Knwls.”
