Joshua Chamberlain wins Charlevoix County commissioner for District 4

EAST JORDAN — Joshua Chamberlain was the victor against incumbent Robert Draves to represent East Jordan and South Arm Township as Charlevoix County commissioner in the Aug. 2 Republican primary.
Chamberlain had a total of 569 votes compared to Draves' 172 votes.
Chamberlain won the City of East Jordan 214 to 75 and South Arm Township 355 to 97.
He will not have a Democratic opponent on the ballot in November, as there were no candidates running for the District 4 county commissioner position in the Democratic primary.
