Manifesters, brace yourselves for this important season 4 news that could potentially change the show’s trajectory.

Last June, NBC aired the Manifest season 3 finale, and since then, the supernatural drama has experienced its fair share of changes off-screen. After Netflix resurrected the canceled series in August 2021 and gave it a fourth and final season, Manifest fans began looking for news about the show’s progress with the streamer. Most recently, on June 6, a teaser was released and featured actress Melissa Roxburgh reprising her role as Michaela Stone. But it wasn’t where Manifesters last saw her in the season 3 finale.

As viewers may know, there were lingering questions about the tail fin’s powers and a possible connection to Noah’s Ark. What’s more, the plane disappeared in the last few moments of the show with Captain Daly (Frank Deal) on board. Meanwhile, Michaela and Jared (J.R. Ramirez) duked it out before she figured out Angelina (Holly Taylor)’s harmful intentions toward the rest of the 828ers. So, what does this ending and the new teaser add up to? We’re not sure but actor Josh Dallas clued fans in on what to expect when Manifest comes back for the season 4 premiere.

Speaking with Netflix Life in late May, the Manifest cast member revealed that season 4 will kick off with a time jump. “We begin the next season two years from where we left off in season 3,” he told the outlet. “So we’ve moved ahead in time.”

While the actor stopped short of sharing more (like a possible premiere date), he opened up about how his character, Ben Stone, might impact the storyline. “[He’s] an interesting, complicated character. He is very singular in the way that he thinks,” Josh explained to the publication. “Sometimes I think — and of course, I haven’t gotten to the end — that he could be the agent of the apocalypse, the downfall of all of this because of the way he is so tenacious.”

He continued: “It is all for his family but it can sometimes come with collateral damage around them. He is always going into it with good intentions but also willing to break the rules sometimes to get at what he needs or wants to find out … The first part of the season is not going to be easy.”

In case you missed that, Josh was hinting at Ben possibly causing trouble in the first half of season 4. The fourth installment will be comprised of 20 episodes, debuting in two different parts. Furthermore, the Manifest star shared that his character won't be the only one having a spotlight on them.

"It’s going to blow your mind,” he added. “You’re going to see some interesting things from the characters you know and love. Some you’re going to see in ways that you’ve never seen them before. We’re going to find out more and more about what happened to them, and where they were as we get closer and closer to the finale, the end. It’s going to be a ride.”
