Jordan Peele has no patience for misogyny.

Speaking at the 2018 MAKERS Conference on Tuesday, Emily Gordon, Oscar-nominated writer of "The Big Sick," dished on an eyebrow-raising photo shoot experience -- and how fellow writer Peele had her back.

"I was doing a photo shoot with a bunch of other writers. They were doing a group shot, I was the only woman, and the photographer said, 'Emily don't be afraid to be sassy in the photo' ... He was like, 'Put your hand on you're hip, get sassy. And I was mad, but I was like this is so stupid. Like really? Sassy?"

While Gordon was grappling with the bizarre request made only to her, the only woman on the set, in true Jordan Peele form, the "Get Out" writer (and fellow Oscar nominee) quipped: "Do you want me to get more hood in the photo?"

The anecdote underscores the value of having allies in the face of prejudice.

"I thought, that's what we need!" Gordon said. "I can handle this on my own, but it's so much easier if we have that."
