Jordan Brand’s Holiday 2020 Collection Features 12 Modern Takes on Retro Styles

Jordan Brand previewed its holiday ’20 collection and it comes filled with a selection of hit retro styles.

Featuring 12 different silhouettes and colorway combinations, the capsule includes styles for men, women and kids ranging from classic Air Jordan 1 sneakers to reimagined Air Jordan 5 “What The” designs. The athletic brand has yet to announce price ranges or release dates for the styles at time of press, though they are expected to drop in stages across the next few months.

Blending together the stars of the past with the high-tech innovation of the future, the Jordan Brand Holiday 2020 Retro footwear collection includes four iterations of the Air Jordan 1 silhouette. The first comes in the form of a Retro Hi OG CO.JP, a style that released in 2001. The “Midnight Navy” colorway returns to the scene for the first time in two decades with its metallic silver Swoosh and embellished Wings logo, which will drop in full family sizing.

The second Air Jordan 1 comes in women-only sizing with a raw-constructed green design inspired by Michael Jordan’s legendary 63-point playoff game against the Boston Celtics in 1986. It will be joined by two more Retro High OG silhouettes with one giving a new twist on the “Dark Mocha” colorway and another paying homage to the 1980s Friends and Family Air Jordan 1 with a black and gold combination.

An Air Jordan 3 will also be releasing as part of the capsule with black leather uppers and purple contrasting accents, with unique elephant print that ties the look together and subtle orange pops.

Then, the capsule drops in three takes on the Air Jordan 4 including one retro silhouette. The Air Jordan 4 Retro brings back its original colors with a Nike Air Hangtag and original packaging as well. It comes accompanied by a canvas and twill mixed Air Jordan 4 featuring textures inspired by Japanese design. The second style will release only outside of North America.

The next style is an Air Jordan 5 What The, mixing together a series of recognizable colorways to form a standout multicolored design. It is joined by a women’s Air Jordan 8, draped in rich burgundy, and two Air Jordan 12 Retro sneakers. The first includes a faux lizard-print with a take on a classic red and a black combination as its partner, a Concord purple version, also includes the faux lizard accents on the mudguard.

The last design in the collection comes in the form of an Air Jordan 13 Retro in a repurposed “Hyper Royal” colorway with reflective finishes.
