Jonathan Scott Shares an Adorable Family Photo in Honor of His Father’s Birthday

HGTV's Jonathan Scott took to Instagram on Tuesday to wish someone special a very happy birthday: his father, Jim Scott! The Canadian contractor penned a sweet note to his dad accompanied by a few adorable family photos.
"Happy Birthday to Papa Scott," Jonathan wrote, noting how upset he was that he couldn't celebrate in person with his dad. However, he wished him a day full of "fun, love…and a lot of cake." Then Jonathan really tugged at our heartstrings as he ended the post. "Thank you for being the best role model a kid could ask for. I love you," he wrote, adding a heart emoji.
A few things about Jim Scott: he was born in 1934, making him 87 years old (um, Papa Scott looks amazing!), according to IMBD. His birthplace was in Lanarkshire, Scotland, which explains Drew, Jonathan, and JD's Scottish roots (I'm sure we've all seen the brothers in kilts and playing the bagpipes). Jim has also acted and assistant directed before. He's known for his work in the following films: The Groundstar Conspiracy (1972), Russian Roulette (1975), and Shadow of the Hawk (1976).
As you may already know, he's married to Joanne Scott. You can see the whole Scott family in the first post accompanying Jonathan's note. From left to right, you can spot Jonathan, Jim, JD, Drew, and Joanne. Also, in case you were wondering, Drew and Jonathan are almost a spitting image of their father. It might be hard to tell now, but last year, Drew shared some photo evidence that compared a photo of himself to a photo of his father at his age. You can decide for yourself below, but I think they're pretty identical.
