JoJo Siwa Reveals She's Ditching Her Signature Hair Bow
Breaking hair bow related news: JoJo Siwa is officially abandoning her signature style. At least, for the most part. Speaking with Instagram head Adam Mosseri, JoJo explained that she recently decided to retire her hair bow, a hard decision considering she's "worn a bow for obviously the last 18 years of life." However, turning 18 inspired JoJo to do something different.
"I just had my 18th birthday and it was right around my birthday that I realized, 'I kinda wanna do my hair different today,'" she said per People, adding that she "came out to the world and to my family and essentially to myself" and that "It just felt like the right time and to do something different and to do something maybe a little bit more mature or a little upgrade."
JoJo, who recently came out to fans, said her mom Jessalynn asked if it was "harder to come out to me or tell me that you wanna wear your hair different?" and in response JoJo said "It surprisingly was harder to tell you that I wanted to wear my hair different."
However, we could still see JoJo wearing a massive bow atop her head in the future. As she told Mosseri, "The bow is still a part of my life. I still love bows, I forever will. They're who I am, but maybe I won't wear it every day."
