John Travolta Apparently Mistook Jade Jolie as Taylor Swift at the MTV VMAs 2019

John Travolta, who joked to Queen Latifah that the last time she saw him he was dressed like a woman (never forget Hairspray), was apparently confused by a man dressed as Taylor Swift at the 2019 MTV VMAs.

Monday night, the Lover singer took home the award for video of the year which was presented by the two actors that were in the 2007 Hairspray movie together. TSwift attended the VMAs with the drag queens that were featured in "You Need to Calm Down," the video that nabbed the award. Some of the queens made it up to the stage before Taylor did, and that's when the confused moment happened.

John tried handing the trophy to Jade Jolie, a RuPaul's Drag Race contestant from season five, who portrayed Taylor in the music video and also impersonated the pop star during her season's Snatch Game. Instead of grabbing the award, Jade just gave John a huge smile, who appears to then realize his mistake. In John's defense, there was a lot going on and Jade's hair was looking pretty damn great, so it's understandable that he'd mix the two up.

However, the internet, of course, loved the hilarious moment. GQ editor Brennan Carley tweeted, "John Travolta just gave the VMA to 'Drag Race' alum Jade Jolie in Taylor Swift drag, FULLY not knowing that it was NOT Taylor Swift, thinking that it was IN FACT Taylor Swift. I am....reeling."

Jade also shared a cute video of her and Taylor to Twitter later in the night, showing just how much the two were twinning. The drag queen wrote, "aaahhh the most magical night EVER! So proud of my queen @taylorswift13 for snatching Videos for Good & Video Of The Year at the @vmas tonight👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️."

Get her Jade, get her.
