Legend will perform at the 72nd annual Miss Universe competition on Nov. 17 in El Salvador’s capital city of San Salvador. In a statement, Paula Shugart, president of the Miss Universe Organization and the program’s executive producer, said, “I first met John when he performed at Miss Universe in 2010 with The Roots. I have been a huge fan ever since, both of his music and his charity and social impact work. I know he’ll bring something very special to our stage, and will take the event to a whole new level.”

For Legend’s performance at Miss Universe, fans can likely expect one of Legend’s colorful tailored looks hand-selected by the singer’s stylist David Thomas. Thomas is Legend’s go-to stylist and has dressed the singer in luxury brands including Gucci, Tom Ford and Paul Smith.
Throughout Legend’s career in music, he has won 12 Grammys. His platinum debut album, “Get Lifted,” won three Grammy Awards. Since then, he has released eight studio albums and dozens of hit singles, two of which will be performed at Miss Universe this year, although the specific songs haven’t been announced.
In addition to his multiple Grammy wins, Legend also has an Oscar, Tony and Emmy, making him one of the only 18 winners of the quadruple crown of entertainment awards. Legend is the first Black man to achieve EGOT status.
Legend’s fall calendar is also kept busy with Season 24 of NBC’s “The Voice.” Legend returned as a judge and coach for the reality singing competition’s current season after previously serving as a judge on Season 22. He is joined on the judge’s panel by Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire and Niall Horan.
