- John Legend will perform for fans via Instagram on Tuesday afternoon.
- He was inspired by friend and Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin.
- Among his greatest hits, he will also take requests from fans live.
If you’re looking for something to do while self-isolating, then take a front-row seat (er, well, the best seat on your couch)—this afternoon, John Legend will perform live from his home and stream the entire show on Instagram, beginning at 1PM PST.
This news first appeared on the singer's Twitter account. According to Legend, he was inspired to perform for fans after watching Coldplay's frontman, Chris Martin, perform his own livestream on Monday, as part of a safety initiative among Global Citizen and the World Health Organization.
As part of his performance, Legend said he will perform few of his greatest hits and also take requests from fans live. Legend’s wife, model Chrissy Teigen, also announced that she would make an appearance during the livestream. (On Twitter, Teigen has already been fielding requests on Legend's behalf, including a request by actress Mindy Kaling to perform The Office theme song and those from fans to sing popular commercial jingles—like the Karz 4 Kids anthem.)
