The Fast 9 star delivered the message while stripping off and referring to himself as: "WWE Superstar, actor, internet meme, dessert lover, and number three on your partner's free pass list."

Cena went on to explain how many of us have been searching the internet for answers about the coronavirus crisis but he warned: "You've got to be careful out there.

"There's a lot of official-looking stuff on the internet. Not all of it's true. And there's some stuff that seems false but isn't."

Cena then revealed that not only are he and John Oliver the same age, but they also share the same birthday.

"Yep, born on the same year and on the exact same day," he continued. "That seems impossible that two human bodies can age so differently, but it's true. I checked, and it's important you do that.

"So before you go believing a theory about the pandemic or share any information about the pandemic, it's good to know where that information's coming from."

He went on to say that people should always check that they're using trusted news sources and should never forget to use their common sense.

Cena will be next seen on the big screen opposite Vin Diesel in Fast 9, the 10th movie in the Fast and Furious franchise, where he will play Dominic's estranged brother Jakob Toretto.

The film was originally set for release in May but has now been pushed back to April 2021.
