Joe Jonas is usually super private about his personal life. He and wife Sophie Turner welcomed their daughter, Willa, in July 2020, but he hasn’t openly spoken about fatherhood. Until now.

“It’s been amazing,” Jonas said about parenthood during an appearance on CBS This Morning to promote Expedia’s Helping Hands campaign. “It’s been forced time at home—I’m always on the go; I’m always moving and traveling and touring. To be in one place for a solid amount of time and having my feet on the ground and be with my family, my immediate family, is time I don’t think I'’ll get back. I’m so thankful and grateful.”

He said that when it comes to raising his and Turner’s “gorgeous” daughter, rest is necessary: “Naps are nice. All around.”

In the interview Joe Jonas also talked about the mental health foundation he and Turner are currently developing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the couple was reminded of the importance of caring for their physical and mental health. “For us, we’ve noticed how much just in the last year, year and a half, it’s taken a toll on a lot of different people,” he said of the quarantine. In addition to going to therapy and meditating, he also turns to music as a way to tap into his feelings.

“I’m always writing and recording, and I find it very inspiring,” Jonas revealed. “And the music you end up writing, it can be everything from emotional things, emotional songs about what you went through personally or what the world is going through. But also hopeful songs for a brighter, better future for all of us.”

Maybe Joe Jonas will release some songs about baby Willa soon? That feature some Sophie Turner vocals? Hey, I can dream, right?
