Former vice president Joe Biden accepted the Democratic nomination for president last night.
According to a tweet from granddaughter Naomi Biden, his grandkids gifted him with a tub of ice cream.
Four of the candidate's grandchildren, Naomi, Finnegan, Maisy, and Natalie Biden, spoke in a video shown at the Democratic National Convention.
Last night, after accepting the Democratic nomination for president, Joe Biden's grandkids treated him to a sweet gift: a pint of ice cream. "Pop, tonight you eat from the box. Love, the grandchildren," a note read. Naomi Biden, the former vice president's oldest grandchild and the daughter of his son Hunter Biden, shared a snap of the dessert on Twitter.
Naomi; her sisters, Finnegan and Maisy Biden; and cousin Natalie Biden (daughter of the late Beau Biden) also appeared in a prerecorded video shown at the Democratic National Convention last night. In the segment, while opening up about Joe Biden as a grandfather, they also divulged his love for the frozen dessert.
"He's always eating ice cream," they said.
Naomi further shared that he is a fan of the Breyers's chocolate and vanilla tubs, and revealed, "He likes ice cream in hidden ways."
"Eating it in the freezer so my grandma doesn't see," Natalie added. "He hides it."
Even Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who hosted the final night of the DNC, could confirm Biden's ice cream obsession.

The Biden grandkids also opened up about how they encouraged their grandfather to run for president. Although such family meetings would normally be arranged by the parents of the family, Naomi said she was the one to gather the group. "He thought we were calling a meeting to discuss whether or not we wanted him to [run], but really, we were calling it to be like, 'Get in that race.'"
