A Job Interview With This Whisky Company Will Send You Around the World

It's "the greatest interview in the world."

Grant’s Whisky is looking for their new Global Brand Ambassador, and three lucky whisky fans will be invited to travel to nine different destinations around the world as a part of their interview.

The blended whisky makers are looking to find a whisky connoisseur who can put on buzzworthy international events, and will be sending those who make it to the final round on a 10-day, all-expenses-paid trip to destinations ranging from Colombia and Poland to India, Taiwan, and South Africa as part of what they're calling "the greatest interview in the world."

The three finalists will have a suitcase of Grant’s whisky in hand, and will work with local teams and influencers in three different cities to host events, with filmmakers documenting their journey to determine who will get the position.

Here's what you can expect:

Interested participants are asked to come up with a drink that includes the brand's whisky and two other ingredients that represent their personality for the first stage, after which 20 people will be selected to move on to round two.

As part of the second stage, the 20 candidates will travel to the original Grant's family distillery in Scotland, where they’ll compete in a series of challenges to determine the three finalists who will make the international journey.

Those finalists will then head to three cities each, reliving the journey taken by Charles Grant Gordon, the son-in-law of the founder of Grant’s Whisky, William Grant, in 1909, to introduce the brand to the world.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the drinks sector (though this isn’t required), will be energetic, will be savvy with social media, and will love to travel. The role will include inspiring brand consumers, building relations with key bartenders and personnel in the industry, and helping to conceptualize marketing projects.

Interested applicants must be at least 25 years old to enter and must fluently speak English.

“In today’s society, lots of people seek more flexibility and adventure from their work than a 9-to-5 day in an office,” Oliver Dickson, the global brand director of Grant’s, said in a statement.

“This job offers travel, freedom, independence, and a good salary too; we wanted an interview process to match the exciting and challenging nature of the role,” he added.

Applications for the first stage are open until August 30.
