Joanna Gaines Just Shared Her 5-Ingredient Secret for Making Her House Smell Amazing

From Country Living

Joanna Gaines has done it again!

The former Fixer Upper star always has a trick up her sleeve for making life at home just a little bit better. Whether it’s tips for shared kids’ bedrooms, or just a cute décor item you can pick up at Target, Joanna always knows how to make our spaces feel smarter, chicer, and cleaner.

Her urge for an easy spruce applies to her own farmhouse that she shares with husband Chip and their five kids, too. And like many of us now that the holidays are over, the TV star is on the hunt for easy ways to make old areas feel new again.

“There’s a moment every year after the decorations have been packed away where the house feels a little bare, but I like to look at this as my opportunity to approach our home with fresh eyes,” she admitted in a new post on her Magnolia website. “For me, the tools for this reset begin with the senses—sounds, smells, colors and textures.”

In her quest to achieve all of the above, the busy mom came across two DIY solutions that are sure to “incorporate new colors and add life” to the kitchen, bedroom, and any corner that needs a little extra oomph.

Next, she suggests two natural linen sprays for sheets, towels, throw blankets, you name it. Her Rose Linen Spray comes together with four easy essentials, and leaves your loved ones feeling calm and relaxed for hours.

To pull the entire R&R session together, try queuing up her playlist, too. “Look at this as your opportunity to slow down, reset and embrace the clean slate of a new season,” she suggested.
