Chip and Joanna Gaines are celebrating their 18th wedding anniversary on a trip to sunny Mexico, sans kids. The couple are roaming from the beach to the pool to the streets, and Joanna is sharing tons of snapshots and videos from their adventures on her Instagram.

"18 years," Joanna captioned the montage. "Thankful to be on this adventure with you—happy anniversary @chipgaines ❤️."

One clip shows Joanna falling backwards into a pool while wearing a cute gingham bikini. Five kids later, Joanna looks as toned and fit as ever, and fans of Fixer Upper and her Magnolia brand definitely noticed.

"🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥," one user commented. "Happy anniversary you dream team power couple!!💛💛 we love you!" another wrote to the home renovation sweethearts.

With a big family and a new TV network under her belt, just how does Joanna find time to work out?

Joanna says her view of fitness has changed over the years. "When I was in my twenties, working out was something I did as a part of my daily routine," she previously shared in an Instagram post. "As I think back to my intentions on working out then- they were based solely on the idea of looking good on the exterior- in fact it was probably more of an obsession than a habit at the time. It wasn't healthy."

Joanna also took a ten year break from exercising to reexamine her priorities. "So from age 27 to now 37 I did not work out bc of the pressure I felt that was associated with it. Only until recently has my mindset completely changed- I got a fresh idea of what health really means and it starts from the inside out. My heart, mind and body need to be strong for the tasks set before me. This new healthy mindset takes the pressure off and makes working out enjoyable and more practical for this season."

Now, Joanna does a wide variety of workouts. She's posted about running on the treadmill and strength training on Instagram. "Simply 20 minutes packed with squats, arm workouts, sprints, and rowing," she wrote in one Instagram update. Exercising is about more than her physical health. "I’ve found that it helps my mood, it helps stress levels, and it’s fun," she told Health.

Joanna also eats lots of fresh produce. There are plenty of photogenic fresh veggies and herbs growing right on the Gaines' farm. "I’ve got this huge garden in the back where we all eat all of our food, all of our leafy greens, our veggies, our fruits, come from that garden," she told Health. "For the most part I just try to eat a lot of protein during the day and then not too many carbs or I will crash at and not make it."

She gives into her sweet tooth, too. When you see Joanna put out those huge dishes of sweets on Fixer Upper, know she's not just doing that for show. “Typically with sweets, I go all out,” she told Health. “If you’re gonna make the cake, just make the cake.”

Whether she's staging a home or making lunch for her kids, Joanna knows it's all about balance. "It's not about perfection or homemade meals on the dinner table every single night at 6:30—it's about doing what you can with the time you have," she explained on her blog.

That's how you stay in shiplap shape, folks.
