Even when he’s sick, Jimmy Kimmel’s pancake game is strong.

The late night host, who’s sitting out his show this week due to illness, showed off his fun pancake-making skills again on Tuesday. He posted a photo of his young daughter, Jane, about to go to town on some Halloween-themed pancakes.

“FlapJack O’Lantern & Friends,” Kimmel captioned the photo. “Happy Halloween!”

It seems that the funnyman is a pancake pro. In addition to making bats, pumpkins, and ghosts for his little boo, he recently made a pig — with two Cheerios for eyes. “Today’s pancake: Bacon!” he quipped.

Jane, 3, was especially excited about her Cars-themed pancakes this past June.

Thomas the Tank Engine also made her smile. Well, technically it made her stick out her tongue, but it’s still adorbs.

Kimmel loves cooking. “For me, it’s not enough to cook up scrambled eggs on a Saturday morning anymore,” he told Glamour in 2015. The father of four went on to talk about the wood-fired pizza oven in his backyard and making fresh mozzarella and pasta. But he said his real specialty is whipping up something spectacular from odds and ends in his kitchen. “That’s when I really shine.” And while we don’t agree with all of Kimmel’s food choices (Too. Many. Toppings), his love of pancakes is something we can get behind.

This week on the Jimmy Kimmel Live, he’s having some of his celeb friends — including Jennifer Lawrence and Dave Grohl — fill in for him while he’s home sick with his family. Initially, Kimmel and his writer wife Molly McNearney’s infant son, Billy, was scheduled for a second heart operation. However, the boy is sick with a cold — and the rest of the family is too.

With luck, comfort food, courtesy of Kimmel, will help them all make a speedy recovery.
