The men’s Spring 2016 runway shows are continuing their run in Paris, and today Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci gave his audience an eyeful. In a front row where Courtney Love and Kris Jenner were seat mates, Tisci captivated the crowd with both his seasonal menswear and unexpected couture collection featuring 11 sensational looks. Together they made for a curious mix of Americana-meets-streetwear couture-meets-come-hither seductress with a healthy heaping of Jesus.

With such a diverse collection, it’s hard to pinpoint the most notable looks: there were the topless male models wearing jeans made of denim stars and stripes (Yay America!), the reoccurrence of man skorts, and a smattering of pinstripes. Pinstripes were also seen on the women, most notably Naomi Campbell, who wore a skimpy bra and panty with thigh-highs and a blazer. Kendall Jenner strutted her stuff too, in a rose-colored pearl and lace gown that featured a full-on fringe skirt. (One dedicated grammer even caught her float by in slow motion.)

The thing that really piqued our curiosity though was the religious iconography. Jesus and his thorny crown appeared on T-shirts, the pockets of shorts, blazers, and even a jumpsuit! Who in God’s name would wear a high fashion Jesus jumpsuit that will cost close to $2,000? Maybe there is a really spiritual garage mechanic out there, or a really cool priest looking to change things up a bit. It seems like a rarified market though. That said, if anyone could convince members of the clergy to play dress up, it’s fashion’s prodigal son.
