As a fashion designer, Simpson also explained how she believes she has the experience and ability to “understand” women customers, what they want out of life at different stages, and finding clothes that promote confidence. “I understand the mentality of all women, and I understand loving where you’re at or wanting more or wanting something better,” Simpson told People, “I understand that.”

After dealing with years of weight fluctuation and harsh media scrutiny that attempted to knock her down, Simpson stressed to the outlet that she learned to love her body after giving birth to three children and marveling at her strength.

The fact that it made children is unreal,” she shared, “but you just don’t ever think you’re going to fit back into things. It’s crazy. A woman’s body is phenomenal in what it can do.” (We couldn’t agree more!)
