Jessica Simpson's 6-Year-Old Daughter Is a Beauty Influencer in the Making

For many beauty lovers, their first turn with makeup came from sneaking the good stuff from their moms' vanities and trying it out (to varied results) on their own faces. Such happens to be the case for Jessica Simpson's daughter, Maxwell, who has one product in particular that she loves to steal from mom.

“I kind of just let her do her thing and express herself,” Simpson told People at BeautyCon in L.A. over the weekend, proving that she's not just a regular mom, she's a cool mom.

There's one product in particular, though, that Maxwell isn't always allowed to play with. “We don’t always let her wear mascara, so of course that’s her favorite," Jessica revealed. Mascara has become “a special treat” in the Simpson household, but makeup-loving Maxwell “tends to sneak it already.”

“I’m very sneaky,” Maxwell confirmed, to which Simpson added: “Sneaky with the mascara.”

Simpson caught some flack earlier this year after posting a photo of her daughter playing with makeup and wearing lipstick in the MAC store. The mommy shamers came at her hard, telling her Maxwell was too young to be wearing makeup. Clearly, Simpson doesn't care.

Maxwell is hardly the only famous child stealing makeup from mom. Beyoncé, Jenna Dewan, and Victoria Beckham have all copped to letting their kids play with their beauty products, and 6-year-old North West has positioned herself as an itty-bitty beauty influencer with her Instagram appearances on Kim Kardashian's feed.

"My daughter watches so many YouTube tutorials and videos, and she was unboxing the My Little Pony ColourPop collection, and I thought to myself, 'I wish I was recording this,' because her reaction was so funny," Kim said in an interview last year. "And then she did makeup on the My Little Pony that they gave, and she said, 'Mom, I want to do a YouTube video.'"

It's only a matter of time before Stormi Webster learns how to apply lipliner, and then the next generation of influencers will officially be among us.
