Jessica Mulroney Had a “Few Rough Months” Following Meghan Markle Drama

It’s not a secret that Jessica Mulroney had a tough time recently. Meghan Markle’s friend frenemy is back on social media, and in a rather candid post, she’s admitting to what she and her husband, Ben Mulroney, have experienced during the past few months.

“After a few rough months, something to FINALLY celebrate. ❤️ Thank you for being by my side, Benny. Thank you to our true friends for sticking by us,” she wrote. “We could have never made it without you.”

ICYMI: Rumors have been circulating that Jessica’s friendship with Meghan had ended after Jessica was called out by lifestyle writer Sasha Exeter after making some tone-deaf comments. Before their alleged falling-out, Jessica and Meghan were super close and had been friends for a decade. Jessica’s daughter, Ivy, was a bridesmaid in Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding, and her twin sons, John and Brian, were page boys.

Even though Jessica recently called Meghan “family,” the rest of her caption hints that she’s since cut out fake friends from her life. She continued on Instagram, “Silver lining: We finally know the a**holes who we thought were our friends. Best gift we could have ever been given. Pardon my manners. ❤️”

It’s not clear if the “a**holes” she’s referring to include Meghan, but it’s definitely enough to raise eyebrows. According to Page Six sources, even though Jessica attended Meghan’s baby shower and went to her wedding, she has been “on the outs” with her because Meghan reportedly kept getting the feeling that Jessica was “benefiting” from her royal status. Another source elaborated, “Their friendship is definitely not what it was. And really, how can you have such a close friendship when one person is basically making a career out of the friendship?” Oh, and if that weren’t interesting enough, a third source added that the “row has really given Meghan the excuse she was waiting for to cut Jess off for good.”

If that is what happened, then yeah, Jessica probably did have a “rough” few months.
