Avengers star Jeremy Renner has just shared a brief update after being seriously injured in a snowplow incident at his home in Reno, Nevada on Sunday January 1st. Renner sustained blunt force trauma and orthopedic injuries while helping his neighbours clear snow from their property following a power outage, and was rushed to hospital via airlift, where his condition was described as stable but critical.

While the actor has not clarified the full extent of his injuries or how long it might take him to recover, he did express his gratitude the following day for the outpouring of messages of support he received on social media.

"Thank you all for your kind words," he wrote in the caption for an Instagram photo which he posted from his hospital bed on January 3. "Im too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all."

According to Renner's representative, the actor was "moving snow from his driveway on Sunday so that his family members could depart his home after spending New Years together. He was also helping clear out the snow of his neighbor's home as everyone up there had been without power for 24 hours and there had been a large snowfall."

After rising to fame in the 2008 film The Hurt Locker, Renner has since become best known for playing Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for over a decade, appearing in Thor, all four Avengers movies, and the Disney+ series Hawykeye, as well as starring in the Bourne and Mission: Impossible franchises.
