Jeremy Renner has revealed that he was awake throughout the entire ordeal of his traumatic snowplough accident.

The actor was critically injured by the six-tonne vehicle, leaving him with blunt chest trauma and more than 30 broken bones.

In his first interview since the incident on New Year's Day, he told Diane Sawyer that he "chose to survive."

He confirmed that he was "awake through every moment" of the accident, but would do it again to save his nephew.
