Jeremy Clarkson rants against his daughter's 'nuclear' feminism
Jeremy Clarkson has lambasted his own daughter's feminist views in a rant against the effect of social media on society and its young.
The Grand Tour presenter claimed his 25-year-old daughter Emily Clarkson's feminist stance had "escalated" and that she was "wheeling out the nukes" when it came to women's rights.
In an article for The Times, Clarkson wrote: "I’m not quite sure why she’s gone from being a well-meaning feminist to Defcon 1 in a matter of moments, but this sudden escalation has become the norm in the past 10 years. And as we enter a new decade, it’s got to stop."

Clarkson went on to state he "can't stand" socialists before decrying the views of those who are hostile to those who disagree with them, including "young people" and their attitudes towards those older than them.
He added: "We get to the point where my daughter, who has campaigned for women’s rights for many years, has suddenly decided that instead of using a toffee hammer to break the glass ceiling, she must wheel out the nukes."
Clarkson cited social media as making "reasonable argument no longer possible", allowing people to "hide behind a blanket of anonymity".
It's not the first time Clarkson has been critical of the views outspoken young people, as he has made disparaging comments about environmental activist Greta Thunberg on numerous occasions.
He has previously branded the Swedish teenager as an "idiot" and held her responsible for "killing the car show".
The father-of-three has also described Thunberg as "mad and dangerous", comments which were slammed by UK naturalist Chris Packham.

Clarkson's eldest daughter has formerly lashed out at "middle-aged men" for criticising the young activist.
In September, in reference to a tweet which saw comedian John Bishop praise Thunberg, Emily wrote: "Wouldn’t it be nice if all middle aged blokes could talk to and about Greta, the ballsy af teenager out there changing the world, like this."
