Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune fans, you might need to make other plans tonight.

After celebrating a historic win earlier this week, some Wheel of Fortune viewers will have to go without cohosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White before starting their weekend. As for Jeopardy!, some people might miss guest host and broadcast journalist Anderson Cooper wrapping up his two-week gig on the trivia competition series this Friday. Put bluntly, there will not be new episodes of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune tonight in their normal time slots for certain viewers.

But why is Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune not on Friday night? One word: Sports. The second and third rounds of the 2021 NFL Draft will air on ABC on Friday, April 30 at 7 p.m. ET. Though the search for the best up-and-coming NFL players began on Thursday evening, the draft will start a little earlier tonight and bump Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune out of their usual time slots for some viewers.

Will I be able to watch new episodes of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune?

The ABC network airs across the country and their TV programs are also shared through their affiliate partners. While ABC and its affiliates are rescheduling the beloved game shows, not every single ABC channel is airing the NFL Draft, which means there will be certain folks who will be able to watch their favorite shows like any other night.

For those who subscribe to a streaming service or have cable, to check if your area is affected by the 2021 NFL Draft, you can go to your provider's main channel guide and check the shows' normal time slots to see what’s on. Alternatively, you can go to the TV Guide website for more channel and time information.
