Jennifer Lopez Slyly Asked Reese Witherspoon for Legally Blonde 3

Now that many of us are well into our self-isolation time, we're turning to our phones to catch up with our friends — even Reese Witherspoon.

Witherspoon called up Jennifer Lopez into an Instagram Live session (casual) on Monday to discuss J.Lo's new Quibi show Thanks a Million, what they've been up to during self-isolation, and some updates on Legally Blonde 3.

"Oh, my god, we watched Legally Blonde the other day," Lopez said. "Literally, like, four days ago. Oh, my god, I forgot—I can't believe I didn't tell you. They loved it. Loved it. It was so much fun. You were so amazing in that. It's so great. And then, my daughter's like, ‘I want to know what happens to her.' And I said, ‘There's a 2 and a 3, I believe.'"

"Well, no, there's a 2 but I'm thinking we might be working on a 3," Witherspoon replied.

"You should. You should," Lopez said, echoing all of us. "That character was so amazing and so empowering and inspiring. Yeah, it's great for girls."

If anyone could slyly wring out details on the latest Legally Blonde installment, it's Jennifer Lopez. Last year, Witherspoon told ET that it's a "development project right now," and while plenty of productions are unfortunately on hold at the moment due to the coronavirus epidemic, here's hoping J.Lo just spoke Legally Blonde 3 into existence.

Elsewhere during the conversation, Witherspoon pressed Lopez on doing another residency in Las Vegas.

"One of my biggest regrets is that I didn't see you in Vegas," Witherspoon said, adding she was filming Big Little Lies at the time. "Nicole [Kidman] came, and she said, 'Reese we have to go!' And I said, 'I can't go, I'm shooting tomorrow!'"

"You never know, I might wind up back in Vegas doing another residency. Right now I think I'm going to be touring the next couple of years once this all kind of gets back in order and people start going to concerts again," Lopez said, referring to the current pandemic.

"I'm going to send for you — I'm going to send you tickets and you're going to have to come," she told Witherspoon, who responded, "I'm going to buy all the tickets."
