Jennifer Lopez got emotional when speaking about her upcoming album, This Is Me... Now, inspired by her love for husband Ben Affleck.

In an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, the multi-hyphenate revealed her breakup from Affleck 20 years ago (which happened after she released This Is Me... Then, also about their love) was the "biggest heartbreak of [her] life," and she didn't think she would survive it. But in a twist of fate, following marriages, children, divorces, and career milestones, the two rekindled their romance last year, Affleck proposed this April, and they married this July.

Lopez spoke to Lowe about her second engagement ring from the actor—a stunning natural green emerald-cut 8.5-carat diamond on a silver band. The singer said that Affleck engraved a beautiful message on the ring, showing his eternal commitment to her: "Not. Going. Anywhere."

Lopez explained that the Argo star began using that phrase when they reunited last year, confirming that despite their many years apart, he was now exactly where he wanted to be—back with her.

"That's how he would sign his emails when we started talking again," Lopez said. "Like, 'Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere.'"

Lopez and Affleck's reunion came as the actor split from Deep Water co-star Ana de Armas and Lopez broke off her engagement from pro baseball star Alex Rodriguez.

The now married duo were first engaged in 2002, but called off their wedding, in part due to the stress the media attention caused for their relationship, Lopez told Lowe. But this year, they made up for lost time, marrying first in a spontaneous Las Vegas chapel wedding, and later in a lavish ceremony in Affleck's Georgia estate.
