Jennifer Lopez Just Shared Photos of A-Rod’s Proposal and They Will Make You Swoon

Jennifer Lopez just gave us what we’ve been waiting for: the scoop about how Alex Rodriguez recently proposed to the newly-engaged star.

On Tuesday, Lopez posted a gallery of picturesque images from their Bahamas getaway, where the former MLB athlete popped the million-dollar question and slipped a massive ring on that finger.

In the new images, Rodriguez gets down on one knee during what appears to be a sunset by the ocean. The first shot shows J.Lo clutching her hands over her mouth while wearing a flowy white, robe-like dress-that’s very bride-to-be. “3.9.19,” she captioned the image, while he shared a similar one and wrote, “Locking it down. #futuremrsrodriguez

As the story goes, the pair reconnected two years ago at a restaurant in Los Angeles, and a chance meeting during into another shot at true love for the couple. This marks the fourth marriage for Lopez and the second for Rodriguez. Both of them have children-Lopez has 11-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Rodriguez has daughters Ella, 10, and Natasha, 14, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.

Following their engagement, Ellen DeGeneres-who has jokingly encouraged A-Rod to propose for months-spoke out about her involvement. “I don’t want to take credit for this but…Yeah, I kinda…I did that…I’m pretty sure I’m the reason,” the talk show host said on Tuesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She also volunteered to be Maid of Honor to the couple.
