Jennifer Lopez Just Debuted a Pixie Cut

Jennifer Lopez just debuted a pixie cut, and god, she looks good.

For Allure's March (and 30th anniversary) cover issue, the publication is featuring the global icon and newfound beauty mogul, rocking a messy and wet-looking pixie cut that falls down over her brows. The length of the cut accentuates J.Lo's glowing cheekbones and statement chandelier earrings.

The new sexy chop was perfected by her famous hair stylist and Creative Director of Color Wow, Chris Appleton, who is known for creating J.Lo's many iconic hairstyles over the years. Appleton achieved the shaggy pixie by applying the Color Wow Dream Coat for Curly hair to her wet hair followed by the Color Wow Pop & Lock Frizz-Control and Glossing Serum.

During the interview, the superstar opened up about representing Latina women throughout her career, especially in such a pivotal moment as last year's Super Bowl halftime show.

"The idea was to show the best of, not just myself as an artist, but the best of women," Lopez told Allure. "The best of Latinos. I felt that I represented Latinos, I represented women, and I represented people in my age group in a light that was very positive and strong."

Not only has she been a driver for inclusion in the entertainment industry, but the 51-year-old also discusses the body standards women were held to when she was first starting out in her career.

"When I came on the scene, it was kind of the time of the waif and everybody had to be stick thin," she said. "It was like, 'Well, you're not. How do you feel?' I'm like, 'I feel great about it!'"

The star also addressed the Oscar-sized elephant in the room — her nomination snub for her role in Hustlers.

"I was talking about this the other day. [My production partner] Elaine [Goldsmith-Thomas] made a post where she listed all the things I had been nominated for and won that season," she said. "And when it came to the Oscars, it was so obviously absent. It was a sting." But she continued on to say that eventually she had to acknowledge, "This is not why I do this. I don't do this to have 10 Oscars sitting on my mantel or 20 Grammys."
