How Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Feel About Getting Engaged Again as Their Relationship Gets Serious

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's rekindled relationship, two months in, has gotten very serious, E! and People revealed in new reports this week, but don't expect another Bennifer

engagement just yet.

A source close to Lopez explained to E! that Lopez and Affleck have ruled out getting engaged again right now, at the very least. They don't need a ring to prove they're serious. “[They] are fully committed to each other,” the outlet's source said. “[They are] not needing to get married again.”

J.Lo and Affleck don't feel the need to make that kind of commitment given their history. (Lopez and Affleck initially dated from 2002 to early 2004 and were engaged. They postponed their September 2003 wedding and ultimately broke up in January 2004.)

“They have been meshing their lives and families and don't feel the need to get engaged yet or even tie the knot,” the source said. “They have both been there and don't feel it's necessary. They are both very secure within their relationship, and Ben worships her. It's truly meant to be and everyone around them thinks they are a perfect match.”

People was told by a Hollywood insider that Lopez and Affleck are each other's greatest loves (sorry to their exes, including J.Lo's recent ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez and Affleck's ex-wife Jennifer Garner). The insider said Lopez and Affleck “are madly in love” and “the loves of each other's lives.”

A source close to Lopez said that they are dedicated to keeping their relationship strong this second time around: “They want to do everything they can to make this work. Even though their split many years ago was devastating for Jennifer, she has never had a bad word to say about Ben. She believes that it just wasn't meant to be then and feels like they've been given a second chance.”

A source close to both Affleck and Lopez added that Affleck is “very happy” with J.Lo and that “she's wonderful for him.”
