Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez’s Wedding: Everything We Know So Far
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez announced their engagement earlier this year on Instagram, with a photo of Lopez's show-stopping rock. The emerald-cut diamond is estimated to be worth between $1 and $5 million—and if it's any indication of the couple's wedding plans, no expense will be spared.
Here's what we know about Lopez and Rodriguez's upcoming nuptials.
The couple's kids will be involved in the ceremony.
Lopez recently revealed that her 11-year-old son, Max, will "of course" be the one walk her down the aisle, per Entertainment Tonight.
It's unclear how and if Max's twin sister Emme will be involved in the wedding party; same goes for Rodriguez's daughters, Ella and Natasha. However, earlier this year, a source told People that the kids will "definitely" play a role in the wedding.
"It’s always tricky when you merge families, but Jennifer and Alex did a great job from the start," the source said. "The kids are amazing together. And they have wanted Jennifer and Alex to get married for a long time. They will all definitely be a huge part of the wedding."
Otherwise, Lopez insists that they're in the early stages of wedding planning.
Earlier this month, Rodriguez offered a tantalizing hint. "One wedding clue," he told Entertainment Tonight. "It's gonna be a long flight."
A few days later, Lopez was quick to contradict him. "He's just saying things," she told ET. "We're talking about it, but we don't have any firm plans... and we're talking about a lot of places [to get married in], but I don't know yet." The date, too, isn't nailed down yet.
That makes sense given Rodriguez's other comments on wedding planning. "When you think about wedding plans and Jennifer is your partner, all you do is—you do a lot of nodding," Rodriguez said. "I don't know where the location is, I don't know what I'm wearing, I don't know when it is. I'll just show up."
