Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez’s Engagement Party: An Inside Look and Photos

In the midst of their jam-packed schedules, future spouses Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez found time this weekend to celebrate their engagement with their loved ones. On Saturday, September 28, the high-profile pair enjoyed an intimate, candlelit dinner that doubled as an engagement fete in Los Angeles with their inner circle.

“So great celebrating with family and close friends last night,” Rodriguez captioned a smiling snap with his fiancée on social media. Lopez, meanwhile, noted that it was the “most beautifully elegant night.”

Guests included their immediate family members, including Rodriguez’s daughters and Lopez’s twins Max and Emme. Actress Leah Remini, who has long remained one of Lopez’s best friends, and the Hustlers star’s manager Benny Medina also toasted to the pair.

Lopez graciously and warmly thanked Bob and Carole Bayer Sager, who reportedly hosted the party at their home in Bel-Air. “It was a dimly lit party with candles everywhere, white flowers and purple lighting,” a source told E! News of the event. “It was held both indoors and outdoors.”

The future bride looked resplendent in a one-shoulder, ruffled white dress against Rodriguez’s black suit and crisp white shirt.

The world-renowned former baseball slugger proposed to Lopez during vacation in March after dating the multi-hyphenate for two years. The couple is preparing for a destination wedding. “When you think about wedding plans and Jennifer is your partner, all you do is… you do a lot of nodding,” Rodriguez previously told Strahan, Sara and Keke. “I don’t know where the location is, I don’t know what I’m wearing, I don’t know when it is. I’ll just show up.”
