Jennifer Lawrence addresses Liam Hemsworth affair rumours

Jennifer Lawrence has addressed the false rumours she had an affair with Liam Hemsworth, following speculation that Miley Cyrus had thrown shade at her in the music video for 'Flowers'.

Whilst appearing on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live last night (26th June), Jennifer was asked by host Andy Cohen to respond to the rumours Miley Cyrus' music video for 'Flowers' was referencing "a secret fling that you [Jennifer] had with Liam Hemsworth while he was with Miley Cyrus".

Jennifer quickly shut down any rumours of an affair, saying she would love to respond and added it was not true at all.

"Not true," Jennifer said. "I would love to [respond]. Not true. Total rumour."

When Miley released the music video for 'Flowers' earlier this year, many fans believed the gold dress Miley wore in the video was a nod to the allegations Liam had had an affair with his Hunger Games co-star Jennifer Lawrence, as the dress was similar to one Jennifer wore to a Hunger Games premiere in 2012.

Jennifer went onto say she thought the gold dress in Miley's video was a "coincidence". Jennifer did confirm she and Liam had once kissed, but clarified it was after Miley and Liam had ended their relationship.

"I mean, we all know that me and Liam, like, kissed one time," she said. "But it was years after they broke up."

This was in reference to her previous appearance on WWHL in 2015 when she admitted to kissing Liam once off camera.

When she appeared on the show eight years ago, she spoke about the kiss saying: "Liam and I grew up together. Liam’s real hot. What would you have done?"

Jennifer worked with Liam for three years from 2012 to 2015 whilst filming the four Hunger Games movies. At the time there were rumours the pair were having an affair, which Jennifer has now denied.

Miley and Liam began dating in 2010 whilst filming for The Last Song, and were on and off again for a number of years before getting married in December 2018. In August 2019 the pair announced their separation and their divorce was finalised in January 2020.

Neither Miley nor Liam have commented.
