Jennifer Garner is championing the coastal grandmother aesthetic in the West Coast.

On Tuesday, the 13 Going on 30 star stepped out in Los Angeles wearing a cozy outfit worthy of fall moodboards everywhere. Garner layered a creamy ribbed knit cardigan with tortoiseshell buttons over a plain white T-shirt and a black midi skirt. She topped off the outfit with white sneakers and a roomy taupe tote bag.

Garner is known for her functional yet stylish street style.

Earlier this month, the actress was spotted wearing a short-sleeved utility jumpsuit in navy blue from Rivet Utility, a Los Angeles–based sustainable label. She styled the look casually, finishing it with light gray Birkenstocks, a black digital watch, and black aviator sunglasses.

The actress recently spoke to BAZAAR.com about her effortless, no-fuss approach when it comes to beauty.

"My beauty advice is always the same: Look in the mirror less, obsess less, and look at the rest of the world to see what you could be using your time for instead. We all look at our faces more than people used to, and it doesn't do you any good. You obsess over changes or how to fix something on your face," she said. "My advice is to look at the mirror less and be cautious when it comes to injecting anything into your face. Be very, very incredibly judicious and wait as absolutely long as possible to add anything. Don't think that you're 37 and you need to be shooting up your face. You don't need to wear so much makeup or have such a constant blowout."
