As a New York City resident, it's tempting to think there's just something in the Los Angeles water that gives celebrities their million-dollar glow. Alas, it's quite literally millions of dollars to spend on aesthetic treatments and the best skincare money can buy, like the aptly named Augustinus Bader the Rich Cream — a pricey wonder-worker a slew of celebrities swear by.

The latest to join the crowd is supermodel Karen Elson, who showcased it in a recent Vogue video on how she gets ready for the runway. While she didn't disclose exactly which of the brand's creams she uses, as a self-professed "high-end beauty addict," it's pretty safe to assume she goes for the Rich Cream's big guns. "This thing here, Augustinus Bader, this is sort of like the secret elixir for my skin. This tends to be my go-to for all things," she said.

That's no small compliment, especially given Elson's counter of La Mer cream, Vintner's Daughter serum, Biologique Recherche, and Shiseido skincare. But she's not alone: Jennifer Aniston uses the cream to get camera-ready on the set of The Morning Show, and Victoria Beckham keeps it on hand for dry moments (and has even developed her own products with the brand). Sandra Oh, Dakota Johnson, Hailey Bieber, and Margot Robbie all use it, too — and model Lily Aldridge likewise dubbed the line "essential" in an Instagram story posted this week.

With that laundry list of celebrity credits, it's no wonder InStyle's own pros swear by it. Senior beauty editor Pia Velasco confirms the Rich Cream's "secret elixir" status, and beauty editor Erin Lukas calls it the "Nicholas Braun of skincare products" — universally beloved and oddly inescapable.

Despite the eye-watering price tag, shoppers are likewise won over by the cream's capacity to change their skin — even a cellular biologist on Nordstrom's website said it's created "permanent changes" in their 55-year-old skin, and left it "unbelievably even-toned and hydrated." Per the brand, that's thanks to TFC-8 technology, which allegedly sends your stem cells into repair mode with a mix of ceramides, peptides, amino acids, vitamins C and E, and cholesterol. Hyaluronic acid, squalane, and shea butter also leave skin plump and silky.

Those ingredients mean it only takes a small amount to see changes, according to reviewers. One person saw "visibly smoother" wrinkles, as did someone who watched their lines become "way less prominent" and dry patches fully disappear. "Within days, I saw a dramatic difference in brightness, hydration, and my fine lines," wrote another customer. "I wake up every morning looking like I have had a facial." A penultimate user described it as the Birkin bag of skincare, and a last one said it's the only product they need to look "10 years younger in the morning."

Between those reviews and the celebrity accolades, the Rich Cream is an investment that pays off. If you want to try it, get Augustinus Bader's celebrity and supermodel favorite at Nordstrom.
