  • Jennifer Aniston recently joined Instagram, and even her ex-husband Justin Theroux commented on her first photo.

  • Aniston apparently texted Theroux when he didn't appear to be following her account.

  • Theroux explained to Entertainment Tonight that Aniston, "Like, literally broke Instagram. People were having trouble being recognized as following."

Jennifer Aniston's first Instagram post basically broke the social media platform, and it's easy to see why. Sharing a photo of the entire cast of Friends reunited, fans understandably went wild.

And now, her ex-husband, Justin Theroux, has revealed that the actress texted him after she'd joined Instagram to find out why he wasn't following her.

At a press day for the new live-action version of Disney's Lady and the Tramp in New York, Theroux told Entertainment Tonight, "She actually texted me. She said, 'You haven't followed me,' and I said, 'Of course I followed you!' and she's like, 'No you haven't!'"

Of the Instagram mix-up, Theroux explained, "I realized I was one of the people caught in the glitch. So, I had followed, commented..." Basically, there's zero animosity between the exes, and they even still text one another.

Theroux was actually one of the first people that Aniston followed after joining Instagram. Despite announcing their separation in February 2018, after two years of marriage, they've seemingly remained close. In fact, in February 2019, before Aniston even joined social media, Theroux celebrated his ex-wife's 50th birthday with an Instagram post. He wrote, "Happy Birthday to this fierce Woman. Fiercely loving. Fiercely kind. ....and fiercely funny. ❤️ you B."
