Jennifer Aniston and Selena Gomez's Story Began Where All Great Female Friendships Do

Almost every woman has a story about meeting an incredibly nice woman in a bathroom (um, probably while drunk), and instantly becoming friends. For most of us, that other woman isn't usually Jennifer Aniston or Selena Gomez, but as it turns out, major stars have bathroom-friendship origin stories, too.

On Thursday, Aniston filled in for her friend Ellen DeGeneres in the host's seat of her talk show, and interviewed Gomez, who she said she's "known for years."

"We've known each other for years, you've been over to my house, we've had pizza — girl after my own heart," Aniston said, before asking Gomez to remind her of how the two of them met.

"Nobody knew who I was. You were in the bathroom wearing a black dress, and I think we were at a Vanity Fair event and I was there with my mom and I walked into the bathroom and I saw you and you were just so nice," Gomez recalled. "You just walked out of the bathroom and you were going back, and my heart like, stopped. And I freaked out and I ran to my mom and I was like, ‘oh my god, I just saw Jennifer Aniston.’ I was like, ‘oh my god.’"

Granted, that's not too different from how any of us would react if we ran into Jennifer Aniston in a bathroom — though we probably wouldn't garner an immediate invite to a pizza party at her home.
