Six months have gone by in the blink of an eye. Today’s Jenna Bush Hager is celebrating half of a year with her youngest child, son Henry Harold “Hal” Hager, and of course, she took to Instagram to share her appreciation for him.
A carousel of five photos featuring Hal and his family show the huge impact he’s had over a few short months. “So grateful for our little Hal who has brought so much joy to our lives in his 6 months on earth,” Jenna captioned the post. She and her husband Henry are also parents to two daughters, Mila and Poppy.
Like they always do, fans joined in the comments to shower her family with love. “I love that you appreciate your blessings,” one wrote. “Such a cute picture,” another chimed in. “Love to hear what you have to say.” They were also quick to point out his resemblance to his great grandpa, President George W. Bush—a comment that Jenna has definitely heard before. “Awwwe, 💕” one person wrote. “He looks like his Grandpa in #5,” referring to a photo where tiny Hal is smooshed between the cheek kisses of his parents. In the other pics, he’s posing in festive green plaid with the family, bundled tight in his dad’s arms, selfie-ing with his big sis Poppy, and snuggling with his mom.
Jenna recently shared a separate post in which she gushed over her baby boy some more. “I’m in L❤️ve with my little man,” she captioned the black and white photo of her kissing his cheek. “Woke up today early just to watch him sleep...still can’t believe he is mine.” She loves all of her children, but Hal holds a special place in her heart.
“I’m enjoying him so much,” she recently told People. “I enjoyed all my kids, to be honest, but he is the special little boy and feels slightly different. He feels like this little love, so I’m just adoring him constantly.” While also adjusting to being a mom of three, she joked that she was “hanging on by a thread” with the juggling act. “Logistics can be hard,” she said, “making sure that each child has the love that I know I feel for them.”
It seems like it was just yesterday that she shared the news of little Hal’s arrival. “Welcome to the world my darling Henry Harold ‘Hal’ Hager!” she wrote. “Hal came into the world Friday, August 2, 2019 at 9:02 a.m. and our life has never been sweeter.”
