In 2010, Jemima Kirke made her feature-film debut in Lena Dunham's Tiny Furniture. The film, which premiered in competition at South by Southwest festival that year, went on to earn nominations at the Gotham Awards and Film Independent Spirit Awards. It made a reluctant emerging screen star of Kirke, an artist by trade. Two years later, Dunham, a childhood friend, called on Kirke again to appear in her newly green-lit HBO series Girls—and few would have anticipated the juggernaut the series would go on to become, making celebrities of its four primary cast members. Throughout it all, Kirke has maintained her bohemian style—wide-sleeved maxis and jewel-toned slip dresses, paired with effortless bedhead worthy of grunge goddess Courtney Love. (She also shares Love's eye for silk slips.) As the finale of Girls looms this Sunday night, we look back on a few of Kirke's best moments on the red carpet over the years.
