Jelani's music is hard to define, eclectic, and the perfect look into the mixed-genre future of music

Teenage artist Jelani Aryeh's genre-fluid music is hard to categorize, taking influence from rap, R&B, indie-rock, pop, and electronic sounds. The San Diego native's 2019 EP 'Helvetica' showcased his potential, and we spent a day with Jelani and his Raised By The Internet collective in in L.A. to find out what inspires him and what's next. "I'm just not holding back as much," Jelani tells us, teasing his guitar and psych-rock driven debut album. "I'm making music for kids my age, to inspire them to create," he adds.
