Jason Sudeikis’s Hoodie at the 2021 Golden Globes Has Everyone Talking

Jason Sudeikis took home a Golden Globe Sunday, February 28, for his performance in the Apple TV+ show Ted Lasso. But unlike the glammed-up stars who showed up and showed out on the red carpet, he accepted the award wearing something much more low-key: a bright tie-dye hoodie from his sister’s dance and fitness company, Forward Space. (The hoodie is currently sold out, but you can preorder it now.)

“It’s my sister’s dance and workout place in New York,” Sudeikis said, when asked about the hoodie in the Golden Globes press room. “The product is as nice, I think, as the message.”

“It’s family pride. It’s my sister’s company,” he continued, adding that didn’t wear the hoodie for product placement—just to show support for his sister.

“I believe when people that you care about do cool, interesting things that you should support them, so this is no different from that,” he said. “I could have worn a multitude of hoodies. This one seemed the most appropriate.”

People on the internet are digging Jason Sudeikis’s look from the Globes—and his speech too, which was gloriously rambling. He even admitted this himself, saying, “I gotta wrap this puppy up. Never been my forte. Little windy, as my Aunt Loretta would say.” The memes and reactions keep pouring in.

“Huge congrats to Jason Sudeikis not only for winning but for making history tonight as the first person ever to accept an award in a tie-dye hoodie,” one person tweeted.

“Jason Sudeikis in a tie-dye hoodie on Zoom is a whole pandemic vibe,” another added.

A third posted, “Jason Sudeikis just straight-up said ‘nah’ to the #GoldenGlobes dress code, and if that isn’t 2021 energy, IDK what is.”

Catch me ordering 60 of these hoodies the second I can. Jason Sudeikis, my new style icon! I love this for me.
