Jason Momoa Has a Jon Snow Thing Goin' on in the Trailer for His New Show from Apple

My sun and stars: Jason Momoa's new TV show for Apple TV+ looks amazing (and also gives us serious Game of Thrones vibes).

Unveiled Tuesday as part of Apple's big iPhone 11 event, the trailer shows Momoa in a Jon Snow–approved getup (furs, leather and shaggy hair) alongside Alfre Woodard in a post-apocalyptic dystopian world.

"In the far future, a virus has decimated humankind," Apple's synopsis reads. "Those who survived emerged blind."

The Aquaman actor stars as Baba Voss, "the father of twins born centuries later with the mythic ability to see—who must protect his tribe against a powerful yet desperate queen who believes it’s witchcraft and wants them destroyed." Woodard stars as Paris, Voss's spiritual leader, while Blade Runner 2049's Sylvia Hoeks will play the evil Queen Kane.

See, whose epic trailer we're convinced is Apple's answer to the gaping Game of Thrones void left by HBO, was written and created by Peaky Blinders's Steven Knight and directed by Red Sparrow's and The Hunger Games's Francis Lawrence. According to Apple, the series features cast and crew who are blind or have low vision.

The show will debut on Apple TV+ on November 1 (and you can bet we're waiting up past our bedtime on Halloween in order to catch the first glimpse).
