News of Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet’s breakup shocked the internet this month, but Jason and Zoë Kravitz, Lisa’s daughter from her previous marriage to Lenny Kravitz, signaled that they remain close on Instagram.

Jason shared an Instagram post documenting his excitement for Zoë’s role as Catwoman in the upcoming Batman film starring Robert Pattinson. He regrammed the film’s poster and wrote, “So proud. Can’t wait. March 4th love u Zozo.” Zoë commented, “I love youuuuuuuuuu @prideofgypsies.”

Jason and Lisa announced their breakup after 16 years together in a joint statement this month. They wrote:

“We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times…a revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception…feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so~ we share our family news~ that we are parting ways in marriage.

“We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy ~ but so that~ as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other ~to be who we are learning to become…our devotion unwavering to this sacred life & our children. Teaching our children what’s possible ~ Living the Prayer May Love Prevail ✨ J & L.”

Jason and Lisa have two children together, Zoë’s half-siblings, 14-year-old Lola and 13-year-old Nakoa-Wolf.

As for why they split, a source told Us that the two wanted different lifestyles.

“Jason and Lisa worked [initially] because they were so different,” the source said. “He was jovial, loud, and the center of attention, and Lisa was always cool, calm, and subdued.”

“That energy really started to cause friction because they wanted to live different lives,” the insider continued. “Jason wanted to travel and adventure much more. Lisa, she would rather read, write poetry, and cook at home.”
