Japan will ban providing Russia with building and engineering services, according to the outlet.

The deputy chief cabinet secretary Seiji Kihara has also announced that another 100 people will be sanctioned for circumventing the existing sanctions imposed against Russia.

The Japanese authorities will prohibit the supply of goods to approximately 80 organizations associated with the Russian military industry, as well.

The day before, the leaders of the G7 countries issued a joint statement stating that sanctions against Russia would be expanded, restricting in the G7 countries any exports that could help it in its war against Ukraine.
